A Brief History
On January 6, 1949, Leslie R. Henry invited five other antique car enthusiasts to his home in Havertown. They were Theodore (Ted) J. Fiala, Robert (Bob) Henderson, George M. Hughes, John F. King, and Ralph R. Weeks. This gathering of six friends sharing a common interest turned out to be the organizational meeting of what was to become The Historical Car Club of Pennsylvania. We will be meeting at the Broomall Firehouse on Malin Rd for a short but nice ride out to Edgemont for a nice breakfast. Bring the antique or come modern. We will be leaving the firehouse around 8:30 planning to arrive at Rolling Stars around 9am. you can go directly to the restaurant as well. We hope to see you there!
We're having a small show in Havertown on Sunday April 6th from 8 to 1. Rain or Shine with dash plaques for the first 40 cars. There will be trophies for Judges Choice "Top 10" and a Best of Show. Entry is $20. There are great restaurants close by for a nice breakfast or lunch. Bring the family.
